John Garde creates a limited number of commissioned paintings each year from his Bridgetown studio, working from your photographs and ideas to create a unique, hand-painted artwork with his own artistic interpretation.

Whether you are remembering a loved one, celebrating a family home, honouring a beloved pet or choosing something joyful and colourful from John’s Fish Collection, each commission is discussed individually before work begins.

Inspired by a Sold Artwork

If you have seen a painting that has already sold, John may be able to create a new original work inspired by similar colours, subject matter, mood or location.

Each new painting is individually created and will not be an exact copy, allowing the finished artwork to remain unique.

How the Commission Process Works

Complete the enquiry form below and include any reference photographs if available.
John will review your request and discuss the subject, size, style, price and timeframe.
A personalised quote will be provided.
A 50% deposit is required before work begins.
Once the artwork is complete, photos will be sent for review.
The remaining balance is due before collection or delivery.

Commission timeframes vary depending on the size and detail of the artwork.
